Pressure
The Reflexologist is attuned to the body’s requirements and applies pressure accordingly. Stress removal is the first priority; followed by enhancing circulation. Pressure exerted by the reflexologist usually ranges from 0 to 10 or 20 pounds.

Length of Treatments
A complete session on both feet is always performed. Depending upon the reflexologist’s level of experience and the client’s requirements, sessions will last between 30 to 60 minutes.
Reflexology - How it Works
Understanding Your Body
For a reflexologist, the feet and hands are like maps to your body and problems in certain areas of your body are reflected in them. For example soreness, or grittiness maybe felt in certain parts of your feet that indicate a problem in the related organ or body part.
After ascertaining information about your medical history, lifestyle and general health your reflexologist will decide what areas on your feet or hands to treat. Pressure is then generally applied with fingers and thumbs to clear blockages, stimulate reflexes and essentially trigger the body’s healing process.
Manipulating specific reflexes reduces stress, improves circulations and allows the body to return to a state of homeostasis where your organs work well together and at their best.
